It started with a video that Tanmay Bhatt created using the app with the face-swipe feature. What started as a troll for him actually led to a whole lot of flak by the netizens. Some termed it as shameful while some left it behind as just another troll. However, this particular video on snapchat titled Sachin v/s Lata Civil War was certainly not well received by many…
As per the comments he has been getting on twitter and facebook, he has stooped to a level where his fans might not be very happy with all this… Wondering how the video created a stir, we have it for you:
The video starts with Bhatt imitating Sachin, saying “Virat is good with the bat, and the ladies”, and further takes on Lata Mangeshkar by making fun of her face He has also made jokes about Mangeshkar’s age (“you are 5000 years old”), and advises her to “die”, just like Jon Snow (a character from Game Of Thrones, whose on-screen death concluded the show’s fifth season)…
This video has not just created a stir among the general public but has also almost every celebrity, the Raj Thackeray-led MNS, which apparently has also threatened to cause harm to Bhatt. Internet giants are said to be contacted to have the video removed.
Here are a few angry tweets against this troll…
With this whole episode, now netizens have been keeping a close eye on all his movements:
However, it is not just flak that Tanmay has been receiving on the internet. He also has some supporters,
Some even term him to be ‘smart’ for the right publicity gimmick… As it is always said, any publicity is good publicity…
Full support to creativity by some…
Even though Tanmay Bhatt’s troll is a direct insult to the stalwarts of cricket and the music industry, the whole scenario with political parties using the same for their own benefit is also not right… Figuratively speaking, he has insulted two religions ‘cricket’ & ‘music’. But, it is everyone’s right; freedom of speech for Tanmay and right of people to get offended.
Meanwhile, the unaffected can sit back and enjoy; taking it on a lighter note…
