The Grub Fest 2016 at JLN Stadium was nothing less than a three-day grand food and entertainment extravaganza where food fanatics were exposed to sinful delights, a dose of music and delectable memories to be remembered till the next edition strikes back. This October edition was splendidly grand. The event boasted of food, music, dance, mixology and cooking classes and loads of ecstatic faces who were having a great time.
Apart from regulars entrants like Social, Imperfecto, Big Fat Sandwich, Karim’s Delhi 6 there were many new players like PCO, Air Niche Lounge, Cafe Hera Pheri, Circus, Bombaykery with newer brands like ForknSpoon, FlufflesWaffles, Nachos, Talli Chicken, Nooshe Joon, Roasarte, The Tipsy Project, The Little Farm Co. who saw massive lineups of people wanting to tantalise their tastebuds.
Taking the gastronomy experience further, The Grub Mile setup at the fest showcased the popular food truck scene of Delhi with as many as 15 food trucks like Tongue Twisters, Home of the raging bull, desserrt stories and more. The true food enthusiasts got an opportunity to learn new recipes and techniques from prominent chefs as they recreated their favourite dishes at ‘The Grub Theatre’.
And a food festival is always incomplete without some ‘good’ drinks and the Ballantines appreciation session and Jameson Block party managed to pull in just what was lacking in the fest- mixology tips and tricks for the tipsy lovers.
For those who got tired of culinary affaire, the groovy music from TeriMiko, Nikhil Chinappa, Prateek Kuhad, Panic Zaeden and other artists kept their feets tapping! The fest also saw one of its kind pop up nightclub- RSVP, which excited all the grubbers with its eclectic music and ambience.
