• When and how did you discover your inclination towards Jewellery ?
My inclination towards jewellery was instilled in me from the word go as my father has been an avid collector of rare gem stones and antiques. Getting married into one of the oldest jewellery brand in the country further enhanced my interests and helped me hone my skills. I took over the business a decade ago and there has been no looking back ever since.

• What according to you has been the turning point in your career ?
The turning point has definitely been my first tryst with designing a piece of bridal jewellery, it was the first time that I completely designed the set and got involved with every element of it including sourcing. It was a great learning experience for me, I got an insight into the minute details of the making of a piece of jewellery. It was more like bringing dreams to reality.• What has been the biggest challenge for you in your illustrious career ?
The biggest challenge for me has been to carry forward the baton, since we are a 230 year old brand. Being an ancestral business, there is a lot of hierarchy involved. Being the gen next into the business, I had to face a lot of challenges and it took time to change everyone’s mindset in order for them to be receptive to my ideas. It was an enormous challenge to diversify the brand digitally, doing collaborations and even participate in exhibitions.

• How has the pandemic impacted your business and what measures are you taking to salvage the situation ?
The pandemic has impacted the foot fall at our store in a big way, there are aren’t many people willing to come to Chandni Chowk. We are trying our best to tackle their inhibitions by enforcing all safety measures strictly like, regular sanitization, our entire team is duly inoculated, and we have sanitizers at every counters. I hope that the upcoming festive and wedding season will bring people back to the store.• Which factors according to you have been instrumental in your brand becoming one of the most preferred Jewellery brands in the country ?
Shri Ram Hari Ram is known for its heritage, for the good will which our ancestors have built over generations. Being one of the oldest brand has helped us in earning people’s trust, the trust factor has been vital for us as we have clients who have been loyal to us for generations. Our visibility in the fashion industry, media and digital has definitely been an added boon in making an impact.

• Please tell us more about your future plans.
The future plan is to reach out to as many people as we can through different mediums and extend our client base, while being creative and maintaining the highest standards in the industry which our brand has always been known for.
