Set in a distant future, the film focuses on the titular company that creates expensive artificial replicas of deceased women for their widowers. Grieving his wife Meredith’s passing, Detective William Bradwell gets an AI replica modelled after her to help him cope. Eventually, he faces off against a criminal organisation called S.C.A.I.R., which trades artificial humans on the black market. As the story progresses, it is revealed that William’s history with the real Meredith may hold secrets beyond anyone’s comprehension.

Based on the eponymous doll by Mattel, the plot of this fantasy comedy sees Barbie (Margot Robbie) and Ken (Ryan Gosling) having the time of their lives in the fuchsia-drenched world of Barbie Land, along with the many versions of themselves. Unfortunately, when Barbie starts experiencing imperfections in her existence, she is forced to enter the real world to find the solution to her problems. With Ken in tow, she makes the journey and faces all the perils of a world inhabited by humans. The film also stars Will Ferrel, Emma Mackey, Simu Liu and Ncuti Gatwa, among others.
4. Bambai Meri Jaan (September 14) Streaming on Prime Video
A notorious crime thriller, Bambai Meri Jaan chronicles the life of gangster Dara Kadri through the perspective of his father Ismail, a former cop. The narrative explores Dara’s journey as he puts everything at stake, including his family, transforming into a cold-blooded and fearless criminal. As he locks horns with the police and underworld rivals, he is forced to face his own demons along the way. 5. Once Upon a Crime (September 14) Streaming on Netflix
Based on the popular novel, Once Upon a Crime follows Little Red Riding Hood, who turns into a detective and solves mysteries in fairy tales. She meets Cinderella, and the two attend a fancy ball after being dressed lavishly by a witch. Unfortunately, their pumpkin carriage chances upon a deceased man, and they hide the corpse to get to the castle. Just as Cinderella and the prince fall in love, the body is discovered. Faced with a frantic situation, the two girls meet a series of quirky characters from the story as they work to uncover the identity of the actual killer.
6. A Million Miles Away (September 15) Streaming on Prime Video
Michael Peña spearheads this biopic based on the life of Astronaut Jose M. Hernandez, who became the first migrant farmworker to travel to space. A Million Miles Away showcases his tenacity and diligence as he keeps applying to the space program every year after being rejected a dozen times. He finally became a crew member on Space Shuttle mission STS-128 and co-developed the first digital mammography imaging system while working in the fields.
7. Love at First Sight (September 15) Streaming on Netflix
An adaptation of the best-selling novel by Jennifer E. Smith, Love at First Sight sheds light on a chance encounter between two strangers that leads to an unexpected romance. After missing her initial flight from New York to London, Hadley meets Oliver at the John F. Kennedy airport, and the two form a deep connection. Upon landing at Heathrow, the two get separated at customs and finding each other in the chaotic rush seems inconceivable. Fortunately, fate kicks its gears into motion and begins brewing something special for the two in London.
8. Wilderness (September 15) Streaming on Prime Video
Liv (Jenna Coleman) and Will (Oliver Jackson-Cohen) seem to be the perfect couple until the former discovers her partner’s betrayal. Heartbroken, Liv is consumed by vengeance and plans to act on it. The couple take a road trip in America that Liv has pictured since she was little—starting from the Grand Canyon on through Yosemite, before ending up in Las Vegas. As Will tries to make amends for his actions, Liv focuses on how she can make his misfortune look like an accident amid the unpredictable American landscape.
